Mark Fitzgerald received his Bachelor’s of Arts in English from Franklin and Marshall College and his Master’s of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from George Mason University—graduating with Phi Beta Delta honors. He has studied in Strasbourg, France and was awarded a fellowship to pursue his writing at Oxford. His poetry has appeared in many periodicals, including the Crab Creek Review, Santa Clara Review, Squaw Review, Beltway Poetry Quarterly, Temenos, Poetry Midwest and Naugatuck River Review. Mark has also written for the California Literary Review, National Geographic, Governing, Outdoor America, Print Solutions, Air Transport World, Military Advanced Education, Interval World International, Coast Guard Forum and other publications. He is currently a senior writer at Woodward Communications, and writes about transportation for the Federal Highway Administration. Cinnamon Press recently published a collection of his poetry, By Way of Dust and Rain, which he launched at a reading in London.[Rev. 9/2011)
