Bio

Tyler Caroline Mills was awarded Crab Orchard Review’s 2009 Richard Peterson Poetry Prize, the 2008 Third Coast Poetry Prize, the 2006 Gulf Coast Poetry Prize, and publication in Best New Poets 2007. Her work has also appeared in AGNI, Cimarron Review, Georgia Review, Indiana Review, New Letters, and Water~Stone Review. She teaches for the Professional Writing Program at the University of Maryland Department of English, having also taught creative writing and Academic Writing courses, and is an Assistant Director of the UMD Writing Center. She earned an MFA in Creative Writing/Poetry from the University of Maryland and a BA in English/Creative Writing from Bucknell University. Mills has also worked as a freelance editor in the Washington Metropolitan Area. (Rev. 11/2009)
